Super One Foods To Require Masks

Super One Foods has joined the growing list of companies that will require visitors to wear a mask.

On Thursday, July 16, the company announced on Facebook that, effective immediately, masks would be required at all of its Super One Foods and Super One Liquor locations.

Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth while in-store.  If a customer does not have a face covering, single-use face masks will be available at the service counter for $1.

The rule is for everyone 10 and older.  Children between 2 and 10 are “strongly encouraged” to wear a mask.

The company also listed a number of exceptions to the mask rule, including:

Customers who have a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that prevents wearing a face covering will be exempt. Any individual who is hearing impaired, or communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication may also be exempt.

Children under the age of 2, should not use a mask.  That exemption follows the CDC guidelines that say, “Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2.”

Super One Foods is a chain of supermarkets, with 30 locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. The chain is owned and operated by Miner’s, Inc.
