Freshman catcher Josh Dykhoff is this week’s Wolverine Player of the Week.
He earned the distinction for a couple of reasons:
- Because he’s the starting DH/catcher as a freshman on a pretty nice baseball team
- Because his older brother has thrown three no-hitters and he’s called the pitches for all three. (As a former a catcher, I feel like the guys in the gear need some of the credit too!)
Head coach, Kyle Dykhoff, had this to say about Josh’s efforts behind the plate,
“There are a lot of backyard and gym bullpens shared with these two brothers. When a pitcher, that is throwing as well as Justin, is on, there is a great catcher calling the game.”
Congratulations, Josh!
